Where the number comes from
Most value tools give you a book figure derived from the original list price, with no adjustment for condition, mileage or options. This one searches for vehicles like yours that are actually for sale right now, discards the ones that are not really comparable, and shows you what it used. Asking prices sit above sale prices, so treat the range as where the market starts, not where it ends.
What it covers
Travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, pop-ups and motorhomes — Jayco, Forest River, Keystone, Winnebago, Grand Design, Coachmen and the rest. Motorised RVs (Class A, B and C) are adjusted for mileage. Towables are adjusted for neither miles nor hours: the odometer belongs to the tow vehicle, so age, floorplan and condition carry the weight instead.
How to work out a value yourself
- Search current listings for your year, make and model, and match the floorplan — a bunkhouse and a rear-lounge of the same length are different markets with different buyers. Collect five to ten and note length, condition and location.
- Check a book value as an anchor. J.D. Power / NADA publish RV book figures derived from the original list price. Treat it as a national average that knows nothing about your roof, your tires or your floorplan — a sanity check rather than an answer.
- Adjust honestly for condition. Water damage is the one that ends a sale, so look hard at the roof, the seals around every window and vent, and the corners of the floor. Tires older than five or six years are due regardless of tread. Delamination on a sidewall, soft spots underfoot and a title problem cost the most; a recent roof, an awning that works and service records all pull the other way.

What is my camper or travel trailer worth?
The same way as any other RV here — from comparable campers currently advertised, not from a book figure. Match the floorplan as well as the length: on a travel trailer the layout moves the price as much as the year does, and a bunkhouse and a couples coach of identical length sell to different people.
Does mileage matter on a motorhome?
On a motorised RV — Class A, B or C — yes, and we adjust for it. On a towable it is meaningless, because the odometer belongs to whatever pulled it; a travel trailer or fifth wheel is priced on age, floorplan and condition instead.
Are these sale prices or asking prices?
Asking prices, from listings currently for sale. Sale prices for private RV transactions are not published anywhere, so treat the range as where the market starts rather than where it ends.
How is this different from NADA or J.D. Power RV values?
Those give a book value derived from the original list price, without adjusting for condition, mileage or options. This looks at what comparable RVs are actually being advertised for today. Both are useful — the book value is a good anchor and live listings are a good reality check.
Do fifth wheels hold their value better than travel trailers?
Usually a little, for the same age and condition — they are built heavier and the buyers tend to be further into the hobby. It is a smaller effect than condition though: a well-kept travel trailer with a sound roof will beat a neglected fifth wheel every time. The comparable listings we show you are the better guide.
