Where the number comes from
Most value tools give you a book figure derived from the original list price, with no adjustment for condition, mileage or options. This one searches for vehicles like yours that are actually for sale right now, discards the ones that are not really comparable, and shows you what it used. Asking prices sit above sale prices, so treat the range as where the market starts, not where it ends.
What it covers
RVs and campers, UTVs and side-by-sides, ATVs, motorcycles and golf carts. RVs and motorcycles are adjusted for mileage; ATVs, UTVs and golf carts are adjusted for engine hours, because that is the number buyers of those machines actually ask about. Towable RVs are adjusted for neither — the odometer belongs to the tow vehicle.
How to work out a value yourself
- Search current listings for your year, make and model — floorplan on an RV, seat count on a golf cart. Collect five to ten and note their condition and location.
- Check a valuation guide. J.D. Power / NADA publish book figures for RVs, motorcycles, ATVs and side-by-sides — a national average that knows nothing about your particular machine. There is no published book value for golf carts, which is why current listings matter more there.
- Adjust honestly for condition. On an RV: water damage, a roof that is due, and tires older than five or six years all pull real money off. On a motorcycle: a finished chain and sprockets, and a service that is due. On an ATV or UTV: high hours, a worn belt and torn boots. On a golf cart: the age of the batteries, which decides more than anything else.

How is this different from NADA or J.D. Power RV values?
Those give a book value derived from the original list price, without adjusting for condition, mileage or options. This looks at what comparable RVs are actually being advertised for today. Both are useful — the book value is a good anchor and live listings are a good reality check.
Does this work for ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles and golf carts?
